Mark Abernathy graduated from the University of Texas and began his mortgage banking career in 1990 with Lumbermen’s Investment Corporation (LIC), where his loan volume consistently ranked him among the top in the country. After 14 years in the business, Mark founded Capstar Lending with Todd Kurio and Deborah Ginac, both from Guaranty Residential Lending.

Mark and his wife Carolyn have twin sons, Matthew and Robert. He stays active with his family, loves to fish, runs marathons, follows sports, and coach his boys’ sports teams.\
