I am dedicated to my work, but I’d also like to share with you a little about what I find important outside of mortgage & life insurance planning. One of the most unique life opportunities I have enjoyed was serving as an Olympic torch bearer in 1996. Granted, the day my wife said “I Do” or getting to be a dad to 4 amazing kids is pretty awesome! I am also very involved with my family, cycling, church and community activities.

“Keeping it real” is my philosophy. I focus on ensuring that my clients understand the real costs of homeownership, and that are ready for these costs. If a client is currently carrying a heavy debt load, I will encourage them to reduce the debt before pursuing a home loan. I take the time to educate clients about home expenses – both expected and unexpected – that can become unbearable when laboring under the burden of debt. I will also explain how the best rates are available to those with higher credit scores, and how debt can reduce those scores, leading to a loan that is both more expensive and less beneficial to the client.

The bottom line for me is making sure that my clients get the right loan product that works best for them. Taking the time to get to know each client, educating them, and providing honest, realistic information and guidance is simply the way he does business. A home is a long term investment, and I view my relationships with my clients the same way.
