DREAM

As of January 20, 20212, eligible Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients may be able to secure a home loan through Federal Housing Administration (FHA) programs.*

DACA recipients, referred to as Dreamers, can apply for the full range of mortgage loan programs available through the FHA. Some of these programs include low down payment options, some offer lower credit score requirements, while another allows approved borrowers to finance the cost of renovation with a home purchase.

The criteria below are required to begin the loan approval process:

  • The property being financed must be the borrower’s primary residence
  • The borrower must provide an Employment Authorization Document, issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), to prove eligibility to work in the U.S,
  • Borrowers must meet the same program requirements as U.S. citizens.

If you or someone you know may benefit from this development, please inquire about an estimate or Apply Now and one of our mortgage experts will reach out to assist you.
